TrimSpaces=1 breaks Undo

issue number: 143
type: bug
status: open
priority: medium
in version: 4.5.5. b2389 +
tags:
stars: 2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1) check Settings > Editor (part 1) > Trim Trailing Spaces
2) New File
3) press Space Bar
4) press A
5) press Backspace
6) press B
7) invoke Edit > Undo three (3) times

What is the expected output?
Probably initial state: blank line and no further undo steps in history.

What do you see instead?
Letter 'a' at the beginning of the line (that is a state document was never before) and two extra undo steps in history

What's your operating system?
wxp sp3

Notes
1) This is the most simple sample; obviously, I've encountered this (or some related) bug while editing 'real' (complex) file(s). Vision of accidental screw up of some important file due some lengthy ctrl+z + further editing session is quite terrifying for me.

2) It is not so critical, since we all can set TrimSpaces back to 0, but some warning in the meantime would be probably helpful to some.

3) Initially reported in developer forum: http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?6,54268#msg-54994 />

I don't want to be too optimistic, but first testing reveals this bug is not present in recent 4.5.7 (2432).

At least steps from description no longer results in described misbehaviour.

Is it possible that recent updating Synedit component solved this bug?

Tested on PSPad 4.5.7 (2432) - doesn't reveal this bug
